From 1 January 2015, we are merging the Education Communities online service with the Education Connects section on the Public Sector Knowledge Hub https://knowledgehub.local.gov.uk/ . To keep in touch, please create a profile on the Knowledge Hub and then please click on the Education Futures Collaboration and MESH open door meeting space (https://knowledgehub.local.gov.uk/group/efc-mesh).
The Knowledge Hub (KHUB) provides online communities for a number of public sector organisations and has a team dedicated to supporting this way of working. KHUB has been developed by the same team who originally developed our original Education Communities software and we are pleased to be working with them again.
The software works in a very similar way to the existing Education Communities:
· You need to create a profile when you first log on https://knowledgehub.local.gov.uk/
· When you have created a profile and logged on, to join the Education Futures Collaboration public community click here and keep up to date with what is happening with the Education Futures Collaboration charity.
· To create a community on the new site go to: https://knowledgehub.local.gov.uk/web/guest/create-a-group
· For the Education Connects Portal click here
You may find the following information of use:
You can find a complete walkthrough presentation of the site in the public library here.
Here’s a recording of the walkthrough webinar for facilitators.
Here’s the help section: https://knowledgehub.local.gov.uk/web/guest/help-and-support
The community managers also run an online facilitators community you might like to join, where you can find a whole range of facilitator tips, tools and techniques.
