Auditory Implants

The British Cochlear Implant Group conference 2020 included a poster about the role of Educational Audiologists related to auditory implants, entitled ‘Linking Up Listening Life:  Improving Healthcare in the 21st Century. 

Dr Iman  Mulla, Audiology Lead in Education, et al (2013) ‘qualitatively explored parents’ perspectives on their experiences of, access to, and outcomes from, cochlear implantation for their child with complex needs’; finding that these parents valued cochlear implants but had difficulties accessing the technology which they perceived as discriminatory.
